Miami, USA

Miami is a major city in the south-eastern United States and makes up part of the largest metropolitan area in Florida. Being part of the South Florida region, it's 20 miles from Fort Lauderdale, 68 miles from West Palm Beach, 106 miles from Naples (Florida) and 156 miles from Key West. Although Miami is the second most populous city in Florida, the Miami metropolitan area is the largest in the state with an estimated population of over 5.4 million (2007), which makes it the 7th most populous metro area in the United States. Because of its low latitude Miami has a subtropical savannah climate. There are two seasons in Miami, a warm and dry season from November through mid April....and a hot and wet season from May through October. Miami is nicknamed the "Capital of Latin America", is the second largest U.S. city with a Spanish-speaking majority, and the largest city with a Cuban-American plurality.
